Sheep Pellets

Directions for use:

  • Soil Bed Preparation:
Apply 5-6 cups (1 kg) of Sheep Pellets per square metre as bed preparation for annuals (eg. vegetables and flowers) and fork to a depth of 200 mm. Apply 2-3 cups (0.5 kg) to each planting hole for perennials (eg. shrubs and trees) and mix thoroughly with the soil.
Potatoes love Sheep Pellets – the calcium increases resistance to disease, grows a better plant, and produces a thicker and healthier potato skin. Dig Sheep Pellets liberally into the potato patch prior to planting.
  • Established Gardens:
Apply a liberal scattering (5-6 cups or 1 kg) of Sheep Pellets around existing vegetation (vegetables, flowers, shrubs and trees) and water in well. Dependant on climate conditions and soil types, reapply every 3-6 months. Higher application around existing plants will produce a good mulch that will help retain moisture.
  • Compost:
Apply 5-12 cups (1-2 kg) of Sheep Pellets per square metre to each subsequent 100 mm layer of organic matter added to the compost pile. The calcium boost of Sheep Pellets will reduce the time required for composting.
